spacious rhythm literally meaning “one the big”. Wahda means “one” in Arabic. Kebira means “big” (f). These rhythms are so called because they have a single DUM at the beginning. Wahda can be used to make a break between rhythms of various counts and fills. Same notes as malfuf, but a different feel.
