Ancient bowed instrument of East and South eastern part of Iran Sistan, Baluchestan ‘Khorasan, spreaded all over neighbouring regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Himalayan region of Nepal and further Turkmenistan and China with little Differences and modifications and different in names such as Sarinda and Sarangi. In some of the countries This instrument is one of the major Instruments of their Classic al music as well as an instrument for celebration occasions or sad modes in Iran for long time Ghichak like few other Iranian instruments has been absent from the classic music despite of its popularity in folk music But in recent years there has been efforts and interest to utilize the Deep and rich sound of Ghichak as an alter native to violin. As This Gheichaks are Hand made usually they are decorated by the makers and players by the individual Taste so Ghichak has different colorful looking world from nomadic charming rough of Hindkosh to delicacy of Persian and Chinese miniatures.
